The Oliva Art Center is associated with the production of the 28th edition of Première, in partnership with the Center d’Art Contemporain in Meymac (France).

Since 1995, the Center d’Art Contemporain in Meymac has organized Première, an annual exhibition that presents the work of finalists from art schools in France in an institutional space.

This year’s edition is part of the Portugal-France Season and presents the work of twenty-one artists from eight schools of fine arts in Portugal and France: Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Escola Superior of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha, Escola Superior Artística do Porto, École Européenne Supérieure de l’Image Angoulême – Poitiers, École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges, École Supérieure d’Art de Clermont Métropole and the École Nationale Supérieure d’ Art from Limoges.

The co-curatorship of this international edition is carried out by Caroline Bissière & Jean-Paul Blanchet and Andreia Magalhães.

This first moment of the exhibition will take place at the Center d’Art Contemporain in Meymac, France, from October 30, 2022 to January 15, 2023; and in a second moment, in 2023, at Centro de Arte Oliva.
